Step by Step Method

Step 1

Brown the lamb cubes and onion in oil.

Step 2

Add tomato paste, tomatoes, wine and water to cover meat. Simmer covered for 1 hour.

Step 3

Add artichokes, cook 30 minutes more.

Step 4

Add herbs and lemon juice, cook 30 more minutes until lamb is tender.

Very good stew which I halved without any problems using one pound of lamb, 2 tomatoes, dried dill (1 tsp) and the other ingredients in the amounts indicated. The other change I made was using chicken broth instead of wine. Delicious! Thanks for sharing!
