This thick hearty soup is so delicious you will want another bowl! I used a ham bone with lots of ham thrown in. Full of yummy goodness!

I had a ham bone left over from Easter in the freezer, so I pulled it out of the freezer to make this soup, since it's dreary and rainy, and chilly here today. It came out so thick and hearty, and tasted so darn good! Warmed our bellies right up. So good along with some yummy biscuits!

I didn't add carrots, peas or rice to the soup. Just wanted the recipe for plain Pea Soup. It was very tasty!

The flavour and texture of this pea soup is excellent. I used the optional rice and DH, in particular, loved this addition.
