Step by Step Method

Step 1

In a food processor combine the chocolate, sugar and cinnamon, chopping using on/off turns until mixture is fine.

Step 2

With machine still running pour hot milk and vanilla through the feed tube and blend until chocolate is melted (this takes seconds). ***can be prepared ahead to this point and refrigerated for up to 2 days, bringing back to room temp. before proceeding.

Step 3

With the food processor running pour cream through the feed tube, processing until thick.

Step 4

Reheat chocolate mixture in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring frequently.

Step 5

Stir in coffee.

Step 6

Pour into cups, topping with whipped cream.

No special items needed.

Very warming and soothing on a cold, blustery day. Would be good iced in the summer also. I skipped the whipped cream topping (rich enough without it).
