  • When picking jalapeno peppers, choose ones that are bright green, firm and smooth.
  • For the parmesan cheese, use freshly grated cheese for the best flavor.

  • Substitute ground turkey for ground beef - This substitution is a great way to reduce the amount of fat and calories in the recipe without sacrificing flavor. Ground turkey is a leaner option than ground beef, so it is a healthier choice for those looking to eat healthier.
  • Substitute cheddar cheese for parmesan cheese - Cheddar cheese is a great substitution for parmesan cheese because it is a milder cheese. It still adds a great flavor to the burger, but it won't overpower the other ingredients. Additionally, cheddar cheese is more widely available than parmesan cheese, making it easier to find in most grocery stores.

Mexican-Style Jalapeño Burgers Mix 1/2 teaspoon of cumin, 1/2 teaspoon of chili powder, and 1/4 teaspoon of oregano into the burger mixture. Top the burgers with salsa and guacamole instead of traditional burger toppings.

Southwestern-Style Jalapeño Burgers Mix 1/2 teaspoon of cumin, 1/4 teaspoon of chili powder, and 1/4 teaspoon of paprika into the burger mixture. Top the burgers with pepper jack cheese, diced tomatoes and onions, and a dollop of sour cream.

Mexican Street Corn Salad: This creamy and spicy salad is a perfect side dish to the Jalapeño Parmesan Burgers. The sweetness of the corn contrasts the heat of the jalapeños, and the creamy dressing adds richness. The salad is also full of crunchy textures and bright flavors, making it a great complement to the burgers.

Cilantro Lime Rice: This flavorful rice dish is the perfect accompaniment to the Jalapeño Parmesan Burgers. The bright, citrusy flavor of the lime complements the spicy jalapeños and the creamy dressing in the Mexican Street Corn Salad. The cilantro adds a fresh and herby note that ties the two dishes together.
