Jalapeno Corn Fritters
"These are really great corn fritters there easy to make, if your not a spicy lover then these may be made without the jalapenos I don't think there as good though"
- 1 cup flour (all-purpose)
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 tablespoons melted butter or oil
- 2 large eggs
- 1 clove garlic,minced
- 1 cup whole kernel corn
- 1/2 jalapeno pepper, finely chopped, seeds removed
- 1/2 teaspoon salt (seasoning salt)
- 1/2 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
- Oil, for frying the fritters
What You Will Need
No special items needed.
Step 1
Heat the oil in a deep fryer or Dutch oven (about 1 inch deep) to 370°.
Step 2
Mix the first 5 ingredients until smooth and well mixed. Mix in next 5 ingredients.
Step 3
Drop by tablespoonfuls into the hot oil. Fry until golden and cooked through, about 3 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
