Step by Step Method

Step 1

In a large bowl, combine the first 11 ingredients. Crumble beef over mixture and mix well. Shape into 6-8 patties.

Step 2

Grill burgers covered, over medium heat or broil 3 inches from the heat for 4-7 minutes on each side or until a thermometer reads 160° and juices run clear.

Step 3

Top with cheese. Grill 1 minute longer or until cheese is melted. Serve on buns with bacon and toppings of choice.

This is my kind of burger - really peppy! I cut the recipe back for 2 burgers but used a whole jalapeno. Even though I used chicken bacon and a thinster bun this burger was still wonderful. Mushrooms served on the side, aged cheddar on top along with lettuce, sweet onion and tomatoe - Saturday night heaven.
