"This Dutch recipe is my favorite pork salad. If you don't like beets, omit the beet. I don't bother to peel the tomato. Amount of mayo shown is just an estimate. Use whatever amount is necessary to spread thinly over the salad. "Zero cooking time" assumes you're using leftover pork, potatoes and beets. Hmmm, why is Dutch or at least West European not listed as one of the categories under Cuisine at this site?"

Step by Step Method
Step 1
In a bowl, combine chopped pork, apples, potatoes, beets, egg, gherkin & onion.
Step 2
Mix together the oil, vinegar, salt and pepper to make dressing.
Step 3
Pour dressing over salad and toss to coat well.
Step 4
Line a flat serving dish with several lettuce leaves.
Step 5
Arrange the salad in a"boat" shape in lettuce.
Step 6
Cover the boat with a very thin layer of mayonnaise.
Step 7
Top with garnishes
