"This is an easy to put together meal for 2 we enjoy. Hubby says it is pure comfort food. I sometimes add a bit of hot sauce to the beef mixture and the gravy to heat things up a bit, but it is just as good without."

Made for a nice “comfort food” dinner. After reading reviews, I added a bit more cornstarch so the gravy would be thicker. I also toasted the bread, and served with mashed potatoes and green beans. Having the second one for lunch tomorrow.

We really enjoyed these patties! Did add another teaspoon of cornstarch and some chipotle hot sauce for a wee kick. For my oven, it took 45 minutes. Fast and easy to put together on a busy day. Will see repeats here! Thanks Bea for sharing. Made for Billboard Recipe Tag.

This recipe was made for the " Billboard Recipe Tag " & the " Alphabet Soup Tag " games.Due to what was on hand, a couple changes were made to the recipe. I used a full pound of ground beef, but divided into 2 six ounce patties and a four ounce(that way SO and I could nibble). Since I did it that way,a bit more of the seasonings were added to the meat.I also read the recipe wrong and added the instant diced onion to the meat instead of the gravy. I didn't have any of the steak seasoning,so I used the same amount of an Omaha Steak Seasoning. After browning the patties didn't seem to hold together that well. So when these are made again, a small amount of bread crumbs will be added to the meat mixture before browning. After reading the reviews I decided to make my own gravy. They were baked for about 40 minutes and they turned out just fine. I served these over toast with mashed spuds and mixed veggies on the side. Thanks for posting a recipe that will be made often. Thanks for posting and " Keep Smiling :) "

The meat was flavorful...but we were not fans of the soggy bread...and I toasted it...I would have liked the sauce to be thicker...we sure did enjoy trying your recipe...made for "Bill Board" tag game...

Peppy flavour, just right amount of spices. For my likeing the gravy was a bit too thin so next time, and there will be a next time, I will add a bit more corn starch. I served it on a half whole grain burger bun. Delicious
