"We make this wonderful spicy cider in a large percolator for Winter gatherings or office parties and it's always a hit. Christmas morning wouldn't be the same without it. To modify it for a stove top or slow cooker, just measure the seasonings into a large coffee filter and seal it with string or staples. Simmer it long enough to infuse the flavors."

Step by Step Method
Step 1
Break the cinnamon sticks open and crush the cloves and allspice a bit. Grate nutmeg if necessary.
Step 2
Pour the cider in the pot and add spices to the percolator basket using a coffee filter to reduce sediment in the pot. For stove top or slow cooker preparation, seal cinnamon and spices in a coffee filter. Remove spice package before serving.
Step 3
Perk the cider or simmer it long enough to infuse flavors.
Step 4
Leftovers can be refrigerated and reheated in the microwave.
