"I love this sauce, you have to make certain that you simmer it uncovered not covered to thicken up it's also best when made one day ahead"

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Melt butter in small saucepan over medium heat; add onion, and saute 4 minutes or until tender. Add garlic; cook and saute 1 minute. Stir in ketchup and remaining ingredients; bring to a boil. Reduce heat, and simmer UNCOVERED for 25-30 minutes. Cool. At this time I would chill for 1 day before you use it.

Step 2

Store leftover sauce in refrigerator up to 1 week.

Yum, yum and yum again! We loved it on baked chicken and will have it again sooner than later. The sauce was so good. I even put some under the skin to flavor the chicken more.

We thought this sauce was superb! I slathered it on chicken thighs that I grilled on our gas grill. They came out perfect with just the right amount of sweetness. Thanks for posting! Made for Alphabet Soup tag.

I made this sauce as directed and was quite pleased with the end result. It has just the right amount of sweetness. I used it on chicken pieces that I baked in the oven. Made for the Billboard Recipe Tag Game.

This sauce was excellent on our pork chops that we slowly barbecued on the grill. I cooked the chops just a little then kept adding layers of barbecue sauce every few minutes throughout the cooking process. They were really good! My little one asked for a second chop, so I know I will use the sauce on other things since he loved it too!
