"I love this sauce, you have to make certain that you simmer it uncovered not covered to thicken up it's also best when made one day ahead"

Yum, yum and yum again! We loved it on baked chicken and will have it again sooner than later. The sauce was so good. I even put some under the skin to flavor the chicken more..
- 1/4 cup margarine (or butter)
- 1 cup yellow onion, chopped (or just use a small onion)
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoon lemon juice (bottled)
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt & ground black pepper
What You Will Need
No special items needed.
Melt butter in small saucepan over medium heat; add onion, and saute 4 minutes or until tender. Add garlic; cook and saute 1 minute. Stir in ketchup and remaining ingredients; bring to a boil. Reduce heat, and simmer UNCOVERED for 25-30 minutes. Cool. At this time I would chill for 1 day before you use it.
Store leftover sauce in refrigerator up to 1 week.
