Homemade Baked Tater Tots
"I made these a while back they turned out really good there baked which reduces fat and kids love them"

- 4 medium baked potatoes, chilled
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 cup grated onion
- Coating:
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 2 cups crushed plain potato chips
What You Will Need
No special items needed.
Step 1
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Lightly spray baking sheet with non stick cooking spray and set aside.
Step 2
Peel cold baked potatoes and grate into large bowl. Using a fork, stir in egg, butter, salt, pepper and onion until completely combined. Set aside.
Step 3
Prepare coating by whisking egg and milk in one shallow dish and spreading crushed potato chips in another shallow dish.
Step 4
To form tater tots, take 1 tablespoon of filling and form into a small cylinder {tater tot shape}. Coat in egg and milk mixture and then roll in crushed chips. Place on baking sheet. Continue this process until all filling has been coated and turned into tater tots.
Step 5
Bake for 20-30 minutes. Serve hot.
