Step by Step Method

Step 1

Punch a hole in large end of each egg with a punch pin or thumb tack. Cover eggs with cold water. Heat to a boil, uncovered. Do not boil. Remove from heat and cover for 15 minutes (time 15 minutes and NO MORE).

Step 2

Run very cold water over eggs to cool.Crack shells and peel.

Followed the recipe to the letter - Worked like a charm - perfect boiled eggs. Cooked perfectly with no blue ring. I had a little trouble peeling them. That is not the fault of the recipe I get farm fresh eggs. The fresher the egg the more difficult they are to peel.
