Step by Step Method

Step 1

Mix together the oil, molasses, garlic powder, pepper and salt.

Step 2

Rub this paste evenly over both sides of chops.

Step 3

Refrigerate for a couple of hours.

Step 4

Grill the chops over medium-high heat until cooked through, about 7 minutes per side, depending on thickness of chops.

Very good. I used 4 boneless chops that were fairly thick. I probably should have increased the marinade but just made it as posted and the chops were very good. We grilled these using a grill pan on the stove top, so also cooked for a bit longer. Thanks for sharing!

Based on Luvcookn's review, I quadrupled the sauce since I was making four thick boneless chops. Amount-wise, it was perfect. However, I am really, really glad I only doubled the pepper and used the same amount of salt. There was so much pepper it almost overwhelmed any other flavour, so next time I think I'll cut that down as well. I didn't grill since it's winter, but I did broil them for about the same length of time and it worked out great.

I used boneless pork loin chops and should have doubled the molasses mixture as I only had enough to do one side of each chop. But they turned out wonderfully. DH was amazed that there was molasses on it. Will definitely be made again. Made for Billboard Recipe Tag.
