Green Beans & Bacon
"This is one of my favorite ways to cook green beans. I always have a good supply through the summer since I grow bush beans in my deck garden. I freeze a pound of bacon which I chop off slices when needed, and that is why the bacon looks odd in the posted photo."

Great flavor and delicious! My kids liked them, especially my daughter because she loves bacon!.
- 1 pound green string beans (cleaned)
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 2 to 3 ounces sliced bacon (2-3 slices)
- 1/8 teaspoon seasoned salt (optional)
What You Will Need
No special items needed.
PreHeat oven to 375 F
I use a square baking dish (9x9).
Pour chicken broth in bottom of baking dish.
Place beans in chicken broth, then spray them with Pam.
Rough chop the bacon and place it on top of beans.
Sprinkle with seasoned salt.
Bake in oven for 30-45 minutes depending on how tender you like them.
After a desired doneness is acheived, remove them from the oven, place them in a bowl and drizzle the cooked broth and bacon over them.
Give them a quick toss and enjoy.
