"This is a delicious, easy and inexpensive dish. A recipe I came up with when trying to use up those tough rib ends I was left with after purchasing a whole pig. "

Step 1

In a large heavy bottomed pot, bring the ribs, ginger ale, 1 cup water and salt to a boil over high heat.

Step 2

Reduce heat to medium and simmer uncovered, until liquid is reduced by half, about 30 minutes.

Step 3

In the meantime, mix together the brown sugar, honey, soy sauce, garlic powder, dry mustard and ground ginger.

Step 4

Remove ribs from pot and place in a 2 1/2 quart casserole dish.

Step 5

Mix together the cornstarch and 2 tablespoons water and whisk into the liquid left in the pot.

Step 6

Pour this liquid over ribs.

Step 7

Cook uncovered in a preheated 375 degree Fahrenheit oven for 45 minutes.

Step 8

Enjoy.

We love these ribs. They are finger licking good and we loved the smells coming from the oven too!

This is a tender, moist and flavourful dish! We really enjoyed it. Easy to put together for a quick dinner. We have lots leftover for another meal. Thank you once again for a lovely recipe. Made for Billboard Recipe Tag.
