"Now this is a recipe I have not made yet, but I never post any recipe unless I or some-one I know has made it. So a friend has made this and I have tasted and think it is really great for a GF slice. So with all that said ................ I am posting it."

Step by Step Method

Step 1

For the brownies:

Combine the almonds and cacao powder in a food processor and process to a crumble.

Step 3

Add the dates, honey, mint and salt and combine until the mix comes together as a dough.

Step 4

Line a slice/baking tray with paper and press the mix evenly across the base.

Step 5

Place in the fridge while you make the icing.

Step 6

For the icing:

Step 7

Process all the ingredients in the food processor and blend until smooth.

Step 8

Spread over the brownies (it makes a thick layer) and pop back in the fridge to set.

Step 9

Cut into bars to serve.

Step 10

Store in an airtight container in the fridge.

Step 11

I have been told these freeze well, and if frozen leave them out for 10 minutes or so to soften before eating.
