"Named for an innovative piece of French artillery and comprising just four ingredients — gin, lemon, simple syrup, Champagne — the French 75, when made properly, features nose-tickling bubbly as the gateway to a perfectly integrated combination of floral gin and citrus. Some people, though, claim that this should be a cognac based cocktail, and not gin. Either way - it's darned good. Used a Meyer lemon today (1/21/18) and Prosecco - and it's even more wonderful!!!"
