"5 ingredients are all you need to make these great tasting drumsticks. I serve these with a side of cooked rice or a baked potato to drizzle those amazing leftover juices over. If you do not have access to the Frank's RedHot Sauce, I do have a copycat recipe for it here. #recipe13676"

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Mix the garlic, hot sauce, soy sauce and onion powder in a large re-sealable plastic bag.

Step 2

Add the drumsticks and swish to coat.

Step 3

Seal the bag taking out as much air as possible and refrigerate for 6 to 8 hours.

Step 4

Pour the contents of plastic bag in a 8 inch square roasting pan and cook in a preheated 375 degree Fahrenheit oven for 30 minutes; turn over the chicken pieces and cook for another 15 minutes.

Step 5

Remove from oven and turn the broiler on.

Step 6

Take the chicken pieces out of the roasting pan and place them on a rimmed baking sheet on the top rack of the oven and broil for about 3 to 5 minutes per side or until the skin is crispy.

Step 7

Brush the chicken pieces with some of the sauce and serve.

This was an easy way to treat chicken legs that added a lot of great, punchy flavor. I served it with rice as suggested, and it was delicious - just make sure you drizzle the sauce over the rice, instead of spooning the sauce on as DH did. ;) It was delicious but his serving was definitely packing heat. I'll be adding this in to the dinner rotation. Thanks for sharing!

This recipe has pep! I cut the recipe back to 6 drumsticks & 3/4 cup Frank's Hot Sauce. We loved the end zippy result. The drumsticks were tender, moist and fall off the bone good. 19 March 19 I cut this recipe back to 4 drumsticks with no problem. Just hot enough to tempt you and not set you on fire. Loved the recipe.
