"Looking for something different to do with country ribs other than BBQ'd? Try this oven baked recipe with mushroom gravy. I make this from start to finish in my 10 inch cast iron skillet. I'm sure a crock pot would work just as well."

I thought I'd never say this but here goes! You don't have to BBQ for the best ribs!!! These ribs were tender, delicious and left me wanting more!

I made this recipe on 7/20 for mine and my SO's dinner, and most importantly the " Alphabet Tag Game ". Due to what was on hand, some things were changed or omitted all together. Canola oil was used instead of the oil in the recipe. And white onions were used instead of the yellow.Since I don't care for mushrooms, they were omitted. As I was reading through the recipe,I noticed sage was listed in the ingredients, but wasn't listed where to use it the instructions. So I sprinkled a bit of it on the ribs before browning. I subbed Golden Mushroom Soup for the Cream of Mushroom(just a personal preference). Also there wasn't any water listed in the ingredients, but was listed in Step 5.Didn't know how much to use. After baking the ribs were removed from the gravy and I removed some of the gravy to measuring cup, added flour and made a slurry. Returned that to remaining gravy and stirred until thickened and returned the ribs to pan. My SO and I both thought the taste deserved a good solid 4 *'s. He said I could make this any time I wanted to. :) " Keep Smiling :)"

I love a recipe that I can get ready ahead of time and just pop it into the oven 45 minutes before serving. I uncovered the pan 20 minutes before finishing to let the gravy brown. Served over Tofu Pasta with asparagus & beets on the side. Thanks Deely for a tasty Sunday Dinner.

Great recipe and easy. A nice change from BBq'd country ribs. Served with egg noodles and steamed broccoli. Will try in the crockpot next time.

We loved em! Everyone licked their plates clean. I served the ribs and gravy with mashed potatoes and coleslaw and applesauce as sides. We will enjoy this again.
