Step by Step Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350.

Step 2

Over medium heat melt butter in a large saucepan, saute onion, add mashed turnips, salt, pepper, sugar and paprika, mix well.

Step 3

Beat egg yolks and add to mixture, remove from heat.

Step 4

Beat egg whites until stiff but not dry, fold into turnip mixture.

Step 5

Place in a greased 8 inch pie plate and bake in moderate 350 oven for 20 to 25 minutes.

Wow, we loved the turnip prepared this way my friend. It was so good. You should know that I am not normally a fan of turnip but this recipe is turning me around.
