"These are so pretty for Christmas-giving. They add so much to a cookie plate. I got the recipe from one of those little books at the cash register in the grocery store. I don't remember which one."

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Grease and lightly flour cookie sheet.

Step 2

In large bowl, beat egg whites till foamy; add sugar, flour, salt and almond; blend well.

Step 3

Stir in coconut and both cherries.

Step 4

Drop by scant tablespoonsfuls 2" apart on the cookie sheet and bake in a 325 degree oven for 13-17 minutes or till set and only lightly golden; remove immediately to a rack to cool.
