"I know I'm late for the X-Mas season past & WAY early for this year, but to delay would risk it being MIA for the holiday season of 2015 too. I found this recipe 8 years ago on a 3-page fold-out titled "Holiday Recipes" that showed the Braum's trademark name & a stunning photo graced the cover page. Enjoy!"

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl & beat until smooth (A portable mixer or immersion blender would work well for this)

Step 2

To Serve: Place dip in a bowl & the bowl in the center of a round serving plate or platter. Arrange fresh fruit around it to create an edible wreath.

HINT: A note said to "Keep cut fruit fresh by sprinkling w/lemon juice.", but I find it more efficient to brush the cut surfaces of fresh fruit (such as apples or pears) using my pastry brush - OR - Put lemon juice into a small plastic bag, add the fruit slices/wedges, shake to cover the cut surfaces w/the juice & store in a container w/a snap-on lid until ready to serve

Tips

  • Portable mixer or immersion blender

Daily Inspiration

Very rich and really sweet, but I know the grandkids will love it. I think it would also be good with gingersnaps in addition to the fruit. The only change I made was to leave out the nutmeg.
