"This is so easy to make. It does take a bit of time; but, it certainly isn't difficult. This is perfect with my 'Fried Green Tomatoes, Spicy Grits, and Tomato Jam.' It is also a wonderful condiment on other vegetables, chicken, seafood, pork; and, perfect as a sauce on sandwiches. It will last a good month in the refrigerator. But, it won't last that long - I promise."

Step by Step Method
Step 1
Tomato Jam ... Add the tomatoes, onions, peppers, red wine, and brown sugar to a small saute pan or pot. Bring to medium high heat, stir to combine; then, reduce to medium low. Simmer 30-40 minutes until the tomatoes are thick and 'jam like.' Stir occasionally.
Step 2
Once the jam is thick, cool completely, and transfer to a small mason jar; or tupperware type of container; and, refrigerate until ready to use.
Step 3
It is not only great with my 'Fried Green Tomatoes,' but; it is delicious as a condiment on sandwiches; or with grilled seafood, chicken, steak, or pork.
Step 4
It will last for up to a month in the refrigerator. ENJOY!
