Step by Step Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Step 2

Butter a 13 x 9-inch baking pan.

Step 3

Place the sliced apples in prepared baking pan. Sprinkle with 1/3 cup brown sugar and the cinnamon.

Step 4

In a mixing bowl cream the butter and remaining 2 cups brown sugar. Beat in the eggs until combined. Stir in flour and 3/4 cup walnuts. Spread over apples.

Step 5

Sprinkle with remaining 3/4 cup walnuts.

Step 6

Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until apples are tender.

Step 7

Serve with ice cream or whipped cream.
