Step by Step Method

Step 1

Preheat oil in deep-fat fryer, wok or skillet to 350 degrees F.

Step 2

In a medium bowl combine dry ingredients (flour - salt).

Step 3

In a bowl whisk wet ingredients (mil - oil). Stir wet mixture into dry ingredients.

Step 4

Dip broccoli stalks into batter, coating completely.

Step 5

Add broccoli to oil in batches, being careful not to over crowd, and fry until golden brown (3-5 minutes).

Step 6

Drain on paper towels.
