Dave's Chili
"My husband's famous chili recipe. Well, it's famous with our family because we can't stop eating it. Love to sit with a cold beer and watch my husband cook! The key to this recipe is very finely diced vegetables, they almost melt into the sauce. We often use the food processor to get a very tiny dice."

Step by Step Method
Step 1
Chop the peppers and onions and place in a large soup pot.
Step 2
Add the chili powder and spices, beans, tomato sauce tomato paste and the beer. Stir well and let rest.
Step 3
Brown the ground round in a large skillet - be sure to get a good browning on the meat as it adds so much more depth of flavor - and add to the soup pot. Stir well and simmer on low to medium heat for 1-3 hours.
