Step by Step Method

Step 1

Cook together the boiling water. Cut up dates and baking soda. Add butter; cool.

Step 2

Add sugar and eggs add dry ingredients.

Step 3

Bake 1/2 hour in greased pans at 375 degrees til done. Cool

Step 4

When cold put walnut mixture on.

Step 5

For walnut mixture; cook altogether about 10 minutes. Cool serve with whipped cream.
