Step by Step Method

Step 1

Brown ground beef, onion and garlic in frypan. Add tomato sauce, tomato paste, salt and oregano. Cook long enough to get it warm.

Step 2

Spoon a layer of meat sauce onto the bottom of the slow cooker. Add a double layer of uncooked lasagna noodles (break to fit) and top with cheeses. Repeat with sauce, noodles and cheeses until all are used up. Slowly pour 1/2 cup water around the edges of the crockpot, just enough water to go around the complete edge of the crockpot.

Step 3

Cover and cook on low for 4 to 5 hours.

We enjoyed this easy to make lasagna! The only change I made was using fresh oregano but otherwise made as directed but cooked for about 4.5 hours. Everyone loved it. Thanks for sharing!

What a great way to make lasagna!! I added some diced peppers to this and followed the recipe accordingly and we were quite pleased with this.

Absolutely love this recipe. I doubt I will ever make lasagna another way. Followed the recipe, with the following addition: when frying the ground beef and onions, I also threw in some diced red peppers and chopped mushrooms. I also added some chillie peppers for a bit of a kick!! Results were fantastic!! Will defiantly be using this again, and again......

First I want to say that I made this tonight in honor of Derf . She is sorely missed. I altered the recipe from cottage cheese to ricotta cheese and I seasoned the entire dish to taste. It came out perfectly! Another awesome recipe Derf .

A success - easy and delicious. The flavor of the noodles was a nice surprise since they were cooked in tomato sauce rather than water. After reading the other reviews I made a few adjustments to suite our tastes. First, I added a teaspoon of both basil and garlic powder to the cheese and I added chopped mushrooms to the sauce. I also added an extra 1/2 cup water because my sauce seemed a bit thick. Knowing my crock pot, I made it on a day when I was home so that we ate after 4.5 hours. One that I'll make again - everyone went back for seconds. Thanks Derf!

I was surprised how good this was. I am not always a fan of the crock pot with pasta ... But this turned out really nice. It was easy too which is always a plus. The only change was I added a bit more seasoning ... I love my food seasoned really well. But it was delicious and very comforting. NONE left, so that is the best sign of all.
