"This recipe is one I created with the fresh thyme out of my garden last year. I made Peppermint_Patty's Philly Cream Cheese Sauce recently and decided to post this recipe as it is similar to hers."

Step by Step Method
Step 1
Cook pasta in boiling salted water.
Step 2
Warm cheese, lemon juice and oil in large saucepan over low heat; stirring occasionally.
Step 3
Add fresh thyme and stir; set aside.
Step 4
Drain cooked pasta, reserving 1 cup (or more if needed )cooking water.
Step 5
Stir reserved cooking water into cream cheese mixture.
Step 6
Add pasta and lemon zest, toss to coat adding more cooking water if necessary.
Step 7
Season with salt and pepper if desired; top with a grating of Asiago or Parmesan.
