"Corn on the Cob is pretty much a staple at my house. Now, I prefer to grill my corn, but these butters are just as good with steamed, baked or boiled corn. These are 4 unique ways to dress up that 'cob.' Now, for the corn itself - use any method you prefer. For the grill, you can grill with the corn in the husk, out of the husk, or wrapped in foil. And for the oven, pretty much the same methods; and then of course ... you can boil your corn. But the butters are the star. Take any one of these butters to slather on your corn and enjoy. Each of these butters will season 8-12 ears of corn. And, if you are having a BBQ, it is fun to put out 2 or 3 of these for people to choose from."

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Corn ... Cook the corn according to any method you prefer. Butters ... Make sure the butter is unsalted and softened. Using unsalted butter allows you to control the amount of salt. For that using mayonnaise, obviously that doesn't apply. Add all the other ingredients and mix well. I always add a little salt and pepper to the butter, but I go lightly. Those with cheese already have salt, so I tend to season lightly. You can always put the salt and pepper shaker on the table for those who like more. Refrigerate until ready to use. Preparing these a few hours before will allow all the flavors to develop.

Step 2

Serve ... Make sure to take the toppings with butter out to slightly soften. Then, cook up that corn and slather on the toppings. The topping are best served when the corn is hot. ENJOY!

I used option #1 and with just a dash of cayenne. It was delicious and really added to the taste of the corn in a good way! I'm going to try the green chili cheese one next.
