"I got this recipe from a little old lady when I was first married about 25 years ago! (I wish I could recall her name) I still use it to this day! I have tried others but always come back to this one. It's so easy, you will remember it in your head. Try sprinkling cinnamon in the batter if you use canned peaches or apple. It's really the easiest recipe! "

Step by Step Method
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350°. In an 8x8 glass baking pan, place the butter and put in the oven while its preheating. (to melt the butter)
Step 2
In a medium bowl whisk the milk, flour, sugar and baking powder together.
Step 3
When oven is preheated, pour the mixture into the baking pan. Use a spoon to ladle the pie filling over the dish, covering all areas to spread it around. DO NOT STIR.
Step 4
Bake for 30 minutes to 1 hour until the cobbler is a deep golden brown. It will puff up then settle some during baking. (Some fillings keep it from browning as quickly, but atleast 30 minutes. (my baking time is usually around 45 minutes. Serve warm!
