Step by Step Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 180°C (160°C fan forced). Line two large baking trays. Place the butter and flours into a food processor & blend until the mixture just comes together.

Step 2

Add the cheeses and chives and blend again until combined. Transfer mixture to a clean work surface and bring together to form a ball. Chill briefly (if needed) then roll out dough to form a log. Wrap in plastic wrap and continue to roll and shape to a log that is about 24cm long and 4cm wide. Chill if needed. Remove plastic and cut into rounds 1cm thick.

Step 3

Place rounds on prepared tray and sprinkle with a little water. Top each with cracked black pepper and sesame seeds.

Step 4

Bake for 15-18 min until lightly golden.

Step 5

Cool completely on trays before serving.
