Step by Step Method

Step 1

In a saucepan crush the cardamom pods and the ginger and add them to the cold water. Bring to a boil. Remove from heat and add the tea bags. Allow the mixture to sit for several minutes.

Step 2

Remove tea bags and add the milk and sugar.

Step 3

Reheat and serve.

I let this sit for 5 minutes then tasted the tea, I added two more tea bags as I found this to be a bit weak. After these adjustments, this made for a nice morning tea. Thx for sharing your recipe with us :-)

Tisme

This was quite a very nice chai tea, although I did find it a little overly sweet. I certainly tasted the ginger which gave a lovely warmth to the tea, but only got a slight hint of the cardamom spice taste in the tea although the cardamom adds a nice aroma to the tea. This tea certainly makes for a great nite cap, and I certainly got a good nights sleep.
