"While there are many great Caesar Salad recipes out there I have yet to find one I haven't enjoyed - but when family gathers they expect to find their Caesar salad topped with our family favourite. So for my family and anyone who loves salads as much as we do - Cathy's Caesar Dressing. Be sure to use good quality croutons - better yet homemade! For the anchovy lovers you may add a teaspoon of anchovy paste."

Step by Step Method

Step 1

In a bowl (a 4 cup measuring cup works well) whisk together the oil, mayo, and garlic

Step 2

Add in vinegar,salt,pepper,sugar,and Worcestershire sauce

Step 3

Whisk in Parmesan Cheese (I like to add half to the dressing and add the other half to the salad )

Step 4

I find making the dressing well ahead allows it to mellow.I often double the recipe as it keeps well in the fridge for days and days

Wow! Was this good...the blue cheese dressing lover...loved this dressing...so that makes it a keeper...I cut this way down...now I wish I would have made the full amount...this has a very tart taste to it until you pour it over the salad...once the dressing hits the lettuce and croutons...it's no longer tart...made for Billboard tag game...

This is a very good dressing! I cut the vinegar back to one tablespoon, I seemed to have developed a sensitivity since quitting smoking! Finally a perfect dressing. Thanks

Our family has found our new favorite Caesar salad dressing. So simple yet with a great burst of garlic flavor. I did put half of the parmesan cheese on the salad and half in the dressing . Just plain GREAT!!! Thanks for sharing Gerry!

This is a great salad dressing. I love trying new ones and I will make this from time to time in my homemade dressing rotation. I especially loved the Worcestershire and Parmesan together. Thank you for posting this for us to try Gerry! Linda

This is lovely garlicy dressing! I did not use it on a salad, but drizzled it over steamed asparagus. I did not tell DH what kind of sauce, and he loved it on the hot asparagus! Tonight I will be putting it on a salad. Thank you Gerry for sharing another wonderful recipe! Made for Billboard Recipe Tag. Update 8/1/15...I have made your dressing many many times since first reviewed. And just wanted to let you know that I had some cold smoked Grana Padano and used it in the dressing. It lent a wonderful smokiness.
