"This dish is named after the town by the same name in France. Lovely side dish that is quick and easy to put together. You can make this with parsnips. The cooking time is variable as to the size you cut the carrots. Just cook them until they are the way you like them."

mmm a delicious way with carrots and so easy to put together. I used splenda in place of the sugar and garnished with snipped chives. We loved them, made for the "France Tour" Summer vacation game. will be making these again for sure..
- 2 cups sliced carrots (peeled, or parsnips)
- 1/2 cup water (boiling)
- 2 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- Chopped chives or parsley, for garnish
What You Will Need
No special items needed.
Place all ingredients in saucepan except the chives/parsley.
Cook the carrots or parsnips over medium heat until the water evaporates.
Permit them to brown in the butter.
Serve them with a sprinkling of chives or parsley.
