Carolina Border BBQ Sauce

Since it is the first time I made it I only made half a recipe, I made it yesterday late evening and stuck it in the fridge overnight, I'd advise anyone not to use it right away I think the flavor is better if left to cool and chill 24 hours, anyway.... Read more

  • 1 cup yellow mustard
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (white sugar)
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 cup cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne
  • 1/2 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon liquid smoke
 

What You Will Need

  How to Make
 
 

Step 1

Mix all except soysauce, butter and liquid smoke in a saucepan.

Step 2

Simmer 30 minutes.

Step 3

Stir in remaining ingredients and simmer for 10 more minutes or until slightly thickened.
