"There's nothing quite like a Rink Burger unless it's a sauced Rink Burger. Curled many a game, served many a hamburger, made many a homemade pie, all of which helped keep our rink operating. Now am quite content to be a spectator but remains still making those Rink Burgers! The burger family and friends love and enjoy not only during Curling season but all year around. Great served with marinated onions. We like adding tomatoes, cheese, pickles and yes a sesame seed bun! NOTE: hamburger patties not included in Nutritional Facts."

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Pan fry or grill the hamburger patties, drain on paper towel

Step 2

Place prepared patties in a casserole dish or a roaster.

Step 3

Prepare Sauce (I usually double the recipe to have extra sauce on hand)

Step 4

In a medium pot add the sauce ingredients and blend smooth with a whisk

Step 5

Cook gently over medium heat stirring until heated through, then pour over the prepared patties.

Step 6

At this point you may cover and refrigerate until ready to reheat later

Step 7

When preparing this at mealtime, place in a 300 degree oven for 25 minutes or until nicely heated through.

Step 8

Great served with marinated onions, sliced tomatoes, pickles and all the extras that make for a loaded burger.

This sauce is so easy, simple & tasty. You likely will have all the ingredients on hand. Next time I will do as suggested make double so I have some extra for next time. I cut back a bit on the sugar but otherwise followed the recipe. Served on an Onion bun with lettuce, sweet onion slice and a beefsteak tomato slice

Love the sauce for these burgers! Fast and easy to put together while the burgers are grilling. Will be keeping this sauce on hand this summer for visiting family! Thank you Gerry for another keeper! Made for Billboard Recipe Tag.

We enjoyed these burgers emensly! Although I did add cheese and I omitted the pickles. I used potato buns and grilled homemade hamburgers which I slathered the sauce on them. Made for Billboard tag.

I made these for an outdoor BBQ gathering and it was devoured and enjoyed by all!!! I grilled the patties and left the cooked sauce in a saucepan for everyone to scoop a bit onto their burgers. Another keeper from our lovely Gerry. Made for the Billboard Recipe Tag Game.

Gerry this is another recipe that we enjoyed a lot! I used the pre-made store bought patties and hubby cooked them on the grill. The sauce is very similar to what my DMIL puts over her meatloaf, and hubby loves, so I made that as the recipe reads. The burgers smelled wonderful when taking them out of the oven and was so sorry I didnt make 12 and put some in the freezer. We topped our burgers the way we like them and drizzled more sauce over the top. We will be making these again! Another winner for us, thank you! Made and reviewed for the Billboard Recipe Tag Game in the Game Forum.
