Step by Step Method
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Step 2
Grease a baking sheet.
Step 3
Heat olive oil in a medium skillet over medium heat (use enough oil as desired) add in onion and saute 2 minutes.
Step 4
Add in garlic and spinach; continue to saute until most of the moisture is cooked off; set aside to cool slightly.
Step 5
In a medium bowl, mix together brown rice, egg whites, bread crumbs, and shredded Italiano cheese.
Step 6
Season with seasoned salt and black pepper.
Step 7
Using clean hands mix in spinach.
Step 8
Form into golf ball sized rice balls. Place each rice ball on the prepared baking sheet.
Step 9
Lightly brush the balls with melted butter.
Step 10
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until lightly browned and slightly crispy.
Step 11
Serve with marinara sauce for dipping if desired.
