  • 1 banana
  • 1/3 cup grape nuts
  • 1/2 cup yogurt or 1/2 cup cottage cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon honey
  • 4 pineapple chunks
  • 2 maraschino cherries, sliced
  • 2 strawberries, sliced
  • Chocolate syrup (optional)
  • Whipped cream (optional)

  How to Make
 
 

Step 1

Peel and split the banana lengthwise. Place in banana split dish or cereal bowl.

Step 2

Layer yogurt or cottage cheese over banana.

Step 3

Sprinkle grape nuts over the top. Reserve a small amount for garnishing

Step 4

Drizzle honey over the top.

Step 5

Top with reserved cereal, pineapple chunks, strawberries and marachino cherries. Drizzle chocolate syrup and whipped cream on top if using.

Step 6

Enjoy! Its not over the top in calories either, about 300!

This turns "breakfast for dinner" on its ear! It's "dessert for breakfast" and a healthy dose of goodness to start the day. We used bananas, yogurt, granola, honey, and strawberries and loved it. Thanks, Dissie.
