Bratwurst Sandwich

"I came up with this version of a Bratwurst sandwich when I realized I didn't have any beer. It is one of my favorite flavor combos. The ranch salad dressing is a key ingredient for this flavor profile. Enjoy!"

  How to Make

Step 1

Dice up onion and place on a paper plate, and microwave for 3 minutes, set as side.

Step 2

Dice up bell pepper and place on a paper plate, and microwave for 3 minutes, set as side.

Step 3

Slice up bratwurst sausages into bite sized pieces.

Step 4

In a skillet, add olive oil, and on medium heat cook the bratwurst until cooked through, turning to brown all sides. (It took mine about 10 minutes).

Step 8

Fill rolls with bratwurst pepper mixture. Enjoy

Made for the FF&F What's on the Menu Tag Game - As you admitted, this is not something you set out to make, but something that evolved from what you had on-hand. For me it turned out to be a "clear out my fridge meal". I had everything required, used both red & green bell pepper, whole wheat hamburger buns & even added a bit of leftover roast pork I wanted to finish. Nothing fancy, but still a satisfying & tasty meal. Thx for sharing the recipe w/us.
