"This is a popular Portuguese orange cake so Im sharing it here for you to make, for anyone who loves oranges you should try this. In Portugal we make this cake with olive oil but you can use canola oil or vegetable oil"

Step by Step Method
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Step 2
Grease a tube pan then lightly coat with flour.
Step 3
In a bowl, combine baking powder, flour and orange zest until well combined.
Step 4
In a separate bowl, with a mixer, beat the egg yolks, sugar and oil until well blended, 4 minutes. Add the juice and flour mixture, beat ingredients until a smooth batter is formed.
Step 5
In a another separate bowl, beat all the egg whites until stiff peaks form. With a spatula, fold (DO NOT BEAT WITH MIXER) the egg whites into the wet batter until all ingredients are well blended.
Step 6
Pour the batter into the tube pan.
Step 7
Bake for approximately 1 hour or until cake tests done. Cool cake.
Step 8
When cooled remove from tube pan and place on cake plate.
Step 9
Optional: sprinkle some powdered sugar on top.
