Blondies
"It's a good thing that these are quick and easy to stir up because they don't last long in my house! From a Kitchenaid cookbook "Great Baking and More". The buttery batter is a great base for your favorite nuts and chocolate choices, so have fun with this recipe. "
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 Tablespoons butter
- 2 cups light brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
- 2 cups flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
- 1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
What You Will Need
No special items needed.
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350F (180C or gas mark 4). Grease and flour an 9x13 baking pan.
Step 2
In a large mixing bowl combine all of the butter (1/2 cup plus 2 Tablespoons), brown sugar, eggs and vanilla; mix well.
Step 3
Add flour, baking powder and salt; mix well.
Step 4
Stir in nuts and chocolate chips. Press dough into prepared pan.
Step 5
Bake for 25-30 minutes. Cool in pan before cutting. Enjoy!
