"This is a mix of 2-3 recipes. My original version and two tips from a friend I think give this the perfect flavor. An easy 1 pan dish."

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Sauce ... Add the mustard, beer, thyme, bay leaves, salt and pepper to a 13x9 baking dish and mix well. Then add in the sauerkraut, apple slices, potatoes, onion, and kielbasa. Mix to combine and cover with foil.

Step 2

Bake ... In a 350 degree oven on the middle shelf for 1 1/2 hours, covered until everything is tender. If you want, uncover it the last 10-15 minutes of cooking to brown up a bit.

Step 3

Serve ... Crusty bread is all I serve with this. If you want, mix equal parts mustard and horseradish, which makes a nice sauce to dip the kielbasa in. ENJOY!

We loved it! The only changes I made is substituted apple juice fir the beer and used caraway seeds. Tried the stovetop method before but it didn't work as well as your method! Thanks Kim for a real keeper!
