Beer Bacon Bread (ABM)
"A yeast bread that goes well with stews and hearty soups. Made in the bread machine. 1 1/2 pound loaf."
- 3/4 cup beer, warm and flat
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
- 1 tablespoons grainy mustard
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- 3 1/4 cup bread flour
- 1 3/4 teaspoons dry yeast
- 1/3 cup bacon, cooked and crumbled
What You Will Need
No special items needed.
Step 1
Put all ingredients in the bread maker (except bacon) in order recommended by machine manufacturer. Set on raisin/nut cycle or dough cycle. (or select basic/white cycle and use medium or light crust color. Do not use delay cycles.)
Step 2
Add bacon at the raisin/nut signal or, if your machine doesn't have this cycle 5 to 10 minutes before last kneading cycle ends.
Step 3
Remove bread to wire rack and cool before slicing.
