Step by Step Method

Step 1

Rough chop the bacon and toss into a food processor; process until ground and starts to stick together to form a ball.

Step 2

In a large bowl, mix together the ground red meat, ground pork ground bacon, sun-dried tomatoes, chopped basil, garlic and hot pepper flakes.

Step 3

Shape into 4 patties and cook in a large skillet over medium heat, until cooked through, about 20 minutes.

Step 4

In the meantime, mix together the mayonnaise and pesto.

Step 5

Plate a lettuce leaf on each of the bottom buns.

Step 6

Add a cooked burger patty, provolone slice a tablespoon of the mayo/pesto mixture an onion round and to each burger.

Step 7

Add your favourite toppings if you like, add the top bun.

Step 8

Enjoy!

This is a super special burger - .I don't know how this burger slipped by me it was posted last March. Sure glad I found it. It is delicious. Every ingredient seem to enhance all the others - It is now right up there with my favorites. The pesto/mayo sauce is fantastic and I will be using it on many other recipes.
