"Found at recipesecretsdotcom, this onion relish was suggested to accompany hot dogs, hamburgers, sausages or steak sandwiches. It is very easy to prepare & prep methods for both the grill & the oven are given. Step by Step Method
Step 1
In a large bowl, combine Lipton Savory Herb w/Garlic Dry Soup Mix, ketchup, brown sugar, vinegar & oil. Add onions & toss to coat.
Step 2
Place onion mixture in a foil bag, double fold open end of bag to seal & cut a small vent in 1 end of the bag so the contents will not escape when the bag is turned.
Step 3
Grill Method: Grill 25 min or until onions are tender (carefully turning bag over halfway thru cooking).
Step 4
Oven Method: Preheat oven to 450F. Place foil bag in large baking pan on bottom rack & bake 45 min or until onions are tender (carefully turning bag over halfway thru cooking).
