"This is a basic recipe I use to make gravy. I just throw it together usually and never follow a recipe. I decided to write it down one day when my daughter asked me how to make gravy. I prefer using homemade broth, but store bought will do."

Step by Step Method

Step 1

In skillet or roasting pan, add flour to drippings; blend well.

Step 2

Cook over medium heat 2 to 3 minutes until smooth and light brown, stirring constantly.

Step 3

Add broth; cook until mixture boils and thickens, stirring constantly.

Step 4

Stir in salt and pepper.

Step 5

Voila, you have gravy...
