Step by Step Method
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350F. Coat a 8-inch square cake pan with nonstick cooking spray (or grease and flour pan)
Step 2
In a large mixing bowl with electric mixer, cream butter and brown sugar.
Step 3
Beat in egg, milk, vanilla, and mashed banana until blended.
Step 4
Combine remaining dry ingredients and spices. Stir the dry ingredients into the butter mixture until moistened.
Step 5
Spread into prepared pan. Bake 25-30 minutes, until cake springs back when lightly touched with finger.
Step 6
Cool in pan on wire rack. Cut into 9 squares.
