Step by Step Method

Step 1

Combine flour, salt, and pepper in a pie plate. Dredge the scallops in the mixture.

Step 2

Saute the scallops (in batches if necessary) in hot oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes. Remove from pan. Reduce heat to medium.

Step 3

Combine the vinegar, honey and marjoram, add to the skillet and bring to a boil. Cook for about 2 minutes and return the scallops to the pan. Heat through.

This is a recipe that you either will love or not like - I liked it by but friend did not. The combination of Balsamic and honey gives a very distinctive flavour. It was a bit too sweet for total enjoyment.
